Assessment
Compass Therapy offers comprehensive cognitive, psychological, and behavioral evaluations for children (8 and older), adolescents, and adults. Assessment begins with meeting with you to understand the problem you address and develop a comprehensive battery to address your questions about emotional health, cognitive/academic functioning, academic performance, behavior, or neurodevelopment (including ADHD and autism spectrum evaluations).
Assessments are typically comprehensive, addressing many different areas of functioning, such as emotional wellbeing, attention and memory, executive functioning (our ability to plan, organize, and make decisions), processing speed, academic functioning, and overall IQ.
Results and recommendations from an evaluation will include targeted ways to help you in school, work, etc. and can also inform treatment recommendations.

Our psychiatrists and psychologists provide comprehensive diagnostic assessments for a variety of disorders, either as a part of treatment or independently, in order to guide choice of treatment or other supports.

A psychoeducational assessment is a comprehensive evaluation that identifies a person’s unique learning profile by measuring both cognitive abilities and academic achievement. These assessments help pinpoint the root causes of academic struggles—such as ADHD, dyslexia, or processing delays—to provide a roadmap for tailored educational support and accommodations.
-
We also provide comprehensive psychological assessment batteries for clients seeking to determine whether they have attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. Assessment yields a diagnostic report and recommendation to help guide seeking treatment and/or supportive accomodations.
