Dr. Delanoy has found the most consistent success in challenging unwanted thoughts and behaviors using Cognitive Behavioral Treatment (CBT), which encourages the client to build skills in between therapy sessions, though she is also qualified in multiple evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Family Based Treatment (FBT, Maudsley Method). Dr. Delanoy is also currently undergoing the Bredesen ReCODE training program to support individuals and their families experiencing cognitive decline and is certified to administer and score the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA). Dr. Delanoy’s primary focus is about helping her clients establish healthy perceptions of themselves while strengthening their relationships with others. She values working with physicians, dietitians, psychiatrists and school counselors as a collaborative treatment team. She understands the importance of establishing healthy family environments, especially when working with children and adolescents. Dr. Delanoy believes therapy is a collaboration of the client’s expertise of their life experiences and the therapist’s expertise of mental health.
