Dr. Melanie Fox is a licensed clinical psychologist in California, New York, and PSYPACT states. She completed her doctoral training at the PGSP-Stanford PsyD Consortium and her clinical internship and post-doctoral training at Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC). She was previously an attending psychologist at CHOC and the Clinical Director of the Eating Disorders Program at Children's Hospital at Montefiore. She is currently living in New York and is an assistant professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Montefiore Medical Center. She specializes in working with children, adolescents, and young adults with eating and feeding disorders, anxiety, relational concerns, and chronic medical conditions. She values a collaborative approach to therapy and tailors her treatment plans to meet the needs of patients and families using a number of evidence-based approaches, including Family-Based Treatment, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. By providing a safe space to cultivate healing, Dr. Fox hopes to help her parents develop skills and tools to cope with life stressors, identify what is important to them, and build meaningful connections in their lives.
