Dr. Ava Casados is a licensed psychologist working with children, adults, and families. Dr. Casados completed her doctorate in clinical psychology at Yale University and her post-doctoral fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC). She has extensive experience helping clients cope with challenging circumstances, including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life transitions. Dr. Casados has had specialty training to support youth coping with medical diagnoses, LGBTQIA+ youth, and youth and adults exposed to trauma. Dr. Casados works with individuals, families, and couples. In addition to being a licensed psychologist, Dr. Casados is a trained scientist and artist. She integrates these skills into therapy by selecting only the most scientifically supported treatments, and creatively tailoring them to fit each individual’s needs. Her approach is collaborative, supportive, and culturally-sensitive. She creates a safe, stigma-free space for clients to explore and alter negative patterns, process painful experiences, build safe relationships, and grow comfortable and confident enough to face future challenges with strength and resilience.
