Dr. Luis Gonzalez
Luis Gonzalez, MD is a board-certified psychiatrist with extensive experience in treating ADHD, depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, thought disorders, and personality disorders. He has experience working with patients of diverse ages and backgrounds, with a focus on helping young adults and working professionals navigate an ever-changing world.
Dr. Gonzalez obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology at Yale University. He received his medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He then completed training in psychiatry at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute and the West LA Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Dr. Gonzalez is proficient in incorporating mindfulness, CBT, and developmentally focused psychodynamic theory into his work with patients. He is comfortable with topics of racial, cultural, and gender-identity-related trauma. Dr. Gonzalez is experienced in exploring concepts of meaning and self-worth, societal expectations, and unlearning unhelpful trauma responses. Dr. Gonzalez prioritizes building a strong connection with his patients, working together to decide on an optimal care plan.
