Dr. Alaina Gold is a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY 36188) who helps couples and individuals build resilience, reconnect with their values, and strengthen their most important relationships. She believes therapy should be both a place of insight and a catalyst for change, where people can safely explore their stories while also finding new ways to thrive in their daily lives.

Dr. Gold earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Southern California and completed both her pre-doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship in Women’s Health at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. She brings a wealth of training across relationship-focused therapies (IPT, EFT, IBCT), cognitive-behavioral approaches (CBT, ACT), and mindfulness-based interventions. Her specialized work includes supporting couples navigating distress or seeking deeper connection, as well as individuals facing perinatal concerns, depression, anxiety, trauma, insomnia, and chronic stress.

Dr. Gold’s therapeutic style strikes a balance between curiosity and practicality. She partners with clients to uncover unhelpful patterns, cultivate self-compassion, and experiment with new ways of relating, whether to themselves or to those they love most. Her approach emphasizes openness and cultural humility, welcoming each client’s intersecting identities and lived experiences. Clients often leave therapy with Dr. Gold feeling more empowered, more connected, and better equipped to meet life’s challenges.
