Dr. Vanesa Perez
Dr. Vanesa Perez is a licensed psychologist working with
children, adolescents, and families. Dr. Perez completed her doctorate
in clinical psychology at Arizona State University, her clinical
internship at Dell Children's Medical Center at the University of
Texas Austin, and her postdoctoral fellowship at Children's Hospital
of Orange County (CHOC). She has extensive experience helping youth
navigate stressful life circumstances, including school-related
stressors, culturally-related stressors, and relationship problems.
In addition, she has specialzied expertise in working with youth with
high acuity needs, including suicidal ideation and non-suicidal
self-injury. She is also bilingual in Spanish and provides
culturally-sensitive, collaborative care. Dr. Perez takes an eclectic
approach to therapy by blending evidence-based treatments, as needed,
to ensure treatment is tailored to the needs of the youth and the
family. In this way, she hopes to create a safe space for clients to
process difficulties, learn effective coping skills, and gain
confidence in their ability to manage life's challenges.
