Dr. Stephanie M. Wong
Stephanie M. Wong, MD is a UCLA-trained adult psychiatrist and UCLA geriatric psychiatry fellow who has experience treating a wide range of psychiatric disorders in adults ages 18 and up, including but not limited to mood disorders, anxiety disorders, insomnia, and memory concerns, with a special interest in working with geriatric mental health.
As individuals grow older, difficulties such as cognitive decline, insomnia, mood disturbances, and anxiety may arise. Dr. Wong addresses these concerns with a comprehensive and compassionate approach, utilizing a variety of evidence-based treatment options including lifestyle interventions, therapy, and medications. She works closely with family members, healthcare providers, and mental health professionals to create an integrative plan that supports aging with grace and strength.
Dr. Wong obtained her degree in Psychology at UCLA and received her medical degree from the University of California, Riverside. She completed her Adult Psychiatry residency at UCLA where she served as Chief Resident of the Emergency & Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry service and received specialized training in psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques, including cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I). Her approach is one built on mutual respect and partnership, incorporating one’s individual needs into a personalized treatment plan.
