Isha Bhatt is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. She holds a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a specialization in trauma, identity issues, depression, and anxiety. She has been working in the field since 2017. Her clinical experience includes work in acute psychiatric care settings, where she provided crisis intervention and support to children, adolescents, adults, and LGBTQIA+ individuals experiencing depression, trauma, substance use, and psychiatric disorders. She has also supported first-generation and low-income students at the University of California, Irvine (UCI), helping them navigate the unique challenges of higher education and identity development. Alongside her work at Compass Therapy, Isha serves children, teens, and families in a community mental health setting in South Central Los Angeles.

At the very core of Isha’s practice is a fundamental commitment to amplifying and celebrating the diversity of our human experiences. Her therapeutic lens is rooted in social justice, advocacy, and deep care for the communities she serves. Isha is dedicated to creating safe spaces to explore vulnerabilities and promote growth and healing.

Isha believes that therapy is culturally contingent and does not have a universal approach. She incorporates a range of modalities tailored to individual needs using a decolonized perspective, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and many others. By integrating an intersectional/ multicultural lens, she aims to  meet the needs of each client, recognizing the various factors that shape their experiences. She’s here to walk alongside you as you build resilience, deepen self-understanding, and create meaningful, lasting change.
