Odalis Berto
Odalis Berto is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who obtained her MSW at Arizona State University, with an emphasis on families and child welfare. Odalis has 25 years of experience helping children, adolescents and adults of multi-cultural backgrounds in medical settings and private practice. She also has expertise working with individuals who are experiencing depression, anxiety (including OCD), ADHD and difficulty adjusting to new and chronic medical diagnoses. She employs culturally competent supportive counseling and evidence based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). In addition to providing psychosocial support to individuals, Odalis has clinically supervised social workers in the area of chronic illness care management and assisted in establishing the memory disorders clinic at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center. She also works with clients who have experienced human rights violations and have been displaced from their countries of origin, utilizing empathy, creating a therapeutic connection and actively listening to their stories to address adversity and facilitate adjustment.
