Dr. Aaron Lulla

Aaron Lulla, MD PhD is a third-year resident at the UCLA/VA Psychiatry resident program working under the clinical supervision of Dr. Erika Nurmi MD PhD. He earned his PhD in Molecular Toxicology from UCLA in 2016, prior to earning his medical degree in 2021 from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. In 2021 he joined the UCLA/VA Psychiatry resident program as their first research track resident and currently serves as chief resident. He is involved with several research projects at the West LA VA and UCLA, as well as teaching. He was awarded the UCLA Department of Psychiatry Excellence in Teaching Award for residents (2023) and the UCLA Excellence in Teaching with Humanism award (2023). At the national level, Dr. Lulla serves as an American Psychiatric Association Foundation fellow in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
